AeScripts – Keyframe Parent
🥳 Orginal Version / Lasted Version / Activation Code 🥳
Parent, shift and stretch keyframes directly in your AE timeline.
Description
Keyframe Parent brings the simplicity of layer parenting to keyframe animation.
Select the keyframes you want to control, create a Keyframe Parent, then move or trim the Parent layer to shift and stretch the entire animation directly in the timeline.
It’s a fast, visual way to retime complex animation without repeatedly selecting and adjusting individual keyframes. Add or remove keys at any time, preserve their original interpolation, and use Live Update to see changes as you work.
If you already use nulls to control layers, Keyframe Parent will feel immediately familiar – except now you’re parenting the timing of your animation.

Select
Select the keyframes you want to control, you can have as many keyframes as you want, across as many layers as you need.
Create
Click ‘Create Parent’ on the Keyframe Parent panel. A null layer will be created at the top of your timeline. You can rename this and change the color if you need to.

Move
Move the Keyframe Parent layer, click ‘Update Keyframes’ and the selected keyframes will move to their new position on the timeline. Select ‘live updates’ and they’ll move automatically.
Re-time
Drag either end of the Keyframe Parent layer and the keyframes will automatically stretch to fit the new duration. Any acceleration: bezier, easy-ease, linear, or even expression driven acceleration, will be remain.
