AeScripts – FixPitch
🥳 Orginal Version / Lasted Version / Activation Code 🥳
Natural sound pitch. Any speed. Right inside After Effects. Windows & MacOS supported.
Built per the aescripts Author Wiki rules:
– Single Raw HTML block
– Everything wrapped in
– All CSS scoped to .fxp-* selectors only (no broad selectors,
no !important) as required by “Keeping your CSS scoped”
– No images, no Base64, no scripts — tiny footprint
Paste this whole file into ONE Raw HTML block and save.
FixPitch runs on FFmpeg — a free, open-source tool for audio/video processing. It’s not bundled with the script and needs to be installed separately (one-time setup).
- Available for Windows and macOS
- Completely free and open source
- A step-by-step installation guide is included with the script
The Feature After Effects Never Got
Here’s a thing: pitch-preserving time stretch has existed in almost every audio and video tool for years — Premiere has it, DaVinci has it, even free audio editors have it. After Effects? Still nothing. Speed up a clip and you get chipmunk voice; slow it down and it’s a slow-motion growl. For years the official answer has been “just round-trip it through another app.”
It does this one simple thing — fixing audio pitch after a speed change — without ever leaving After Effects.
Main Features:
One-Click Auto Pitch
Automatically detects the layer’s Time Stretch or Time Remap settings, calculates the correct speed factor, and fixes the pitch — no manual math required.
Full Time Remap Support (Multi-Segment)
Handles complex speed ramps with multiple keyframes. Each segment between keyframes is pitch-corrected individually, then seamlessly joined back into one audio track.
Manual Override Mode
A slider + numeric field let you dial in a custom speed factor (as a multiplier “x” or a percentage “%”), independent of the layer’s actual Time Stretch/Remap — for creative control or fine-tuning.
Precomp Support
Works even when the audio source is inside a nested composition — the precomp is automatically rendered before processing, no manual pre-rendering needed.
Non-Destructive Workflow
The original layer’s audio is muted, never deleted or altered. Compare the fixed and original audio side by side, or roll back anytime.
Lossless Processing Pipeline
All intermediate steps use lossless PCM WAV. An optional 320kbps MP3 export is available for the final file.
Smart File Management
Output files are automatically organized next to your project (or a custom folder of your choice), with automatic cleanup of temporary files.
Built-in Readiness Indicators
Instant status checks for scripting permissions and ffmpeg availability — you always know if something needs to be fixed before you hit run.
Free Ongoing Updates
FixPitch is under active development. FFmpeg’s audio engine can do far more than pitch correction — and new features built on top of it are already on the roadmap, delivered as free updates.
